Domaine LeSeurre 2013 Dry Riesling

Married winemaking duo Céline and Sébastien LeSeurre debuted Domaine LeSeurre Winery in 2011, bringing with them their French heritage and years of experience in the vineyard. With 16 vintages under their belts from around the world, the LeSeurres had no trouble settling onto the scenic hillside of Keuka Lake. Their 2013 Dry Riesling is pure bliss. The pairing of the LeSeurres’ care and their training with the Finger Lakes region’s best grape varietal is a winning success; the wine has already scored a 90-point rating from Wine & Spirits Magazine and Wine Enthusiast.

This Dry Riesling has been aged for nine months in stainless steel tanks on the lees (yeast cells), giving depth and slightly more wholesome notes on the palate while maintaining all the natural Riesling flavors. It has a medium intensity nose with aromas of ripe lemon, green apple, tangerine and sweet rose water. The acidity is bright and attacks your cheeks, but has a long, refreshing finish. Pair this with your Thanksgiving meal and impress your guests. This wine retails for $20 at the winery. Ask your local wine and spirits boutique about this wine, and try a little bit of French heritage grown right in the Finger Lakes.
